Filming - 1st Session

Today we embarked on our first filming session. We aimed to cover all the shots within the school ,which we managed successfully. Fortunately we also had enough time to shoot the woodland scenes. The majority of the filming was a success as we managed to successfully shoot the desired shots. The main limitation we faced was the weather, which was very windy today causes the tripod to sway in the outside shots. This causes a little bit of shaking within the footage, which we will now have to edit out. Also another limitation was during school we had a few people walking past whilst we were filming, we also plan to edit around this.
Whilst shooting, me and my partner, Sophie thought of other shots that we thought would be effective, which we shot. Although some were not in our original storyboard we think it could improve our film, so may include them anyway.

My main role was doing the camera work, whilst directing a little. I followed the shots within the story board and also took some extra ones from different heights and angled, so as to have a variation in footage. The only problem I experienced is that the height of the tripod was quite limited, so we had to put it on various platforms to get the height we desired.
